IRC Bus to the Dayton Hamfest on 21 MAY 2005:

This was a first time event for the Indianapolis Radio club.
The IRC chartered a Star of America 44 passenger bus for the trip and charged members and friends
$15.00 for the round trip transportation. If you missed out on this adventure you might want to watch
the IRC event calendar for future Bus trips.!
Forty (40) Hams and friends signed up for this trip which included a breakfast stop in Richmond Indiana
and then on to Dayton Hara arena and the Grand daddy Hamfest of all, the Dayton Hamfest....!

Our bus delevered us to the front door and was able to park right adjacent to the Out side flea maket area..
" Talk about convenient".... On the way over IRC President, Chuck - W9IH held a
"Blind Draw Donation 50/50 Raffel."
The winner was Mike W9KY, $165, what a way to start the Hamfest off, with spending money.!!!

At Noon the buss was open for our Hamfesters to drop off goodies or just sit and chat ,
some even got short naps in,...DA!
Our bus began the return journey to INDY at 4PM with all aboard plus lots of most needed purchases...!?
On the way to our scheduled Dinner stop in Richmond Indiana, Chuck- W9IH completed the bus raffel's with a
second drawing for an ALINCO DJ596TDual band HT. winner was Tony-K9HAS.
Not a bad deal or odds (1 in 33) for two chances to win a grat prize or money...!!!!

A FUN time was had by ALL !.....

Dinner at MCL Cafeteria gave everyone an hour break to catch their second wind and on to Indianapolis
where our bus arrived on time ...7PM for the east side & 7:25pm for the south side riders.

It was a solid concenus that we should do more trips like this (Bus), and all agreed that they would like to
do the Dayton Hamfest in style next year...
